The Las Vegas World Affairs Council offers numerous programs to serve local educators.

Along with broadening public understanding of international issues and serving as a community resource on international affairs, a main objective of LVWAC is to enhance education on these issues in the schools.

LVWAC offers many educational programs and opportunities:

So you're in high school and want to earn college credit?
The SAGE Academy, a Summer program where students are exposed to fascinating topics in social studies and humanities which they do not have time to tackle in depth during the regular school year, is for you. The Academy, co-sponsored by LVWAC and the UNLV Honors College, is taught by UNLV professors with degrees from prestigious universities and are especially selected for the gifted classroom. The content is the same as a regular semester's class at UNLV, so students earn Honors College course credit.

LVWAC has committed over $11,000 to funding scholarships for the program.
